GoGirls Tokyo isn’t just a rock gig for girl bands. It’s a music industry showcase that helps groups seek strategies for furthering their careers. The only kicker is that at least one member of each band must be female. Founded by expat American and industry veteran Apryl Peredo, GoGirls Tokyo aptly celebrates its second anniversary on International Women’s Day. Slated to perform are power rockers Sawas Phool, Harp and Soul (who live up to their name with a harpist), punkers Namonakiband and more.
