Visually impaired since birth and having undergone a kidney transplant, Scott MacIntyre knows a thing or two about living with health challenges. The American Idol finalist agreed to make a special appearance in Japan to raise funds for the Tyler Foundation, a Tokyo-based pediatric cancer charity. For his show at Roppongi’s Billboard Live, MacIntyre will perform original tracks from his new CD Heartstrings, as well as music from his run on the megahit TV show. Proceeds from the event will go towards helping children in Japan who are fighting for their lives.
