Western Medieval Martial Arts and Culture: 11 months, 1 week ago · ViewIn commemoration of the Battle of Jargeau fought June 11-13, 1429, in which the forces under Jeanne d’Arc captured the English-held town, Tintagel will hold a 100 Year’s War Revisited Event on June 19th, Sunday at Tintagel.
Date & Time : Sunday, June 19th, from 14:00 to 18:00
Room charge: Free for Members /
¥3000 for non-members (¥1500 for member’s guest)
Feast fee : ¥1000
◆Food is served free if you bring a side dish,it should be about 10 portion the list on below:
◆Food list that you should bring:
bread
fruit
cold chicken or beef,
vegetables
cheese and things like that.Notice:Avoid obviously modern, Japanese, or New World foods. (no chocolate, turkey, tomatoes, corn…)
Please let us know what dish you will bring to avoid too much duplication.◆Battle event
Combatants will divide between French and English teams, the French under Jeanne and the English under the commander William de la Pole. There will be a challenge tournament between members of the two forces, some group melees, and the fighting will culminate in a French attack on an English fortified position.
◆Dance & Feast
Following the battles will be dancing, featuring 15thc. century basse danse and allemande, and to honor Jeanne’s origin a peasant circle dance. After that, both teams will bury their hostilities and enjoy partying with beverage, light snacks and suitable desserts from Marixsa’s kitchen.

Introduction to Unarmoured Longsword,3pm to 4:30pm
