Japan 2012. The Tokyo Ripper claims another victim. John Murray, trying to come to terms with being an AI of his former human self on a chip embedded in the remains of his own brain, has enough on his plate without having to run around solving murder mysteries. But his digital soul, Ki, disembodied and psychotic in the Net, takes up the challenge. Will John patch things up with his estranged fiancee? Will the yakuza-contracted Ozzie assassin get to him first? Or will the Ripper take all …

Here’s part of an interview with me by VFX Productions conducted a few months ago about our feature length amateur SF/action/suspense/yakuza/romantic comedy RIPPED. It’s going to be Premiere showcased for the first time in a rare cinematic viewing on Sunday May 6th from 7pm at Kawasaki Art Centre, Shin Yurigaoka.
The movie was very much a group effort from 2009-2012 and contains valuable contributions from Wade Phillpott, J.J. Vicars, Jun Watabe, Pink Cherry, Miya Kobayashi, Fudworks, Mikiko Shioya, Marissa Guth, Natsumi, Ichijiku Gakushuu, Skye Ruui, Yuki Takeda, Mark Neal, Rob Mark Henne and many more
It has to be seen to be believed. Free entry for those involved in the making of the film, ¥1000 each for regular viewers.
Map and info in Japanese here: Go out the north exit of Shin Yurigaoka station, cross over the road and walk down the curving hill and cross at the traffic lights. It’s the big building on the left. http://kawasaki-ac.jp/access/
Come and watch it. End Golden Week with a bang!

7pm at Kawasaki Art Centre Cinema, 7 minutes walk from Shin Yurigaoka Station on the Odakyu Line. Tickets ¥1000 available at the door from 6:30pm. Only 113 available, so book yours now!
I forgot to mention a couple of things. Anyone who helped with the movie automatically gets a free ticket. But if you could bring along a friend or two that would really help to pay for the renting of the hall and the equipment. A huge thank you again to everyone who helped make this a reality.
Also, this is kind of my goodbye gig, because my family and I have to fly out of Japan on the 8th of May 2012 to go to the UK. It’s cutting it pretty fine, but what the hell, it’s now or never. And if anyone knows a good place to drink around Shin Yurigaoka it would be great to have a beer or two with you to say sayonara before I hawl ass back to Kansai to catch the plane.
That is all. I hope to see you there.
Sunday May 6th from 7 pm!

YOGA NATURE AND SPRITUAL: 1 month, 3 weeks ago · ViewIf you want to start loving yourself but don’t know how to go about it, try these helpful tips.
End self-criticism – How often do you look at yourself in the mirror and say that you look fat, ugly or old? Stop criticizing yourself by keeping affirmations on Post-it notes on your mirror about all your positive qualities. Repeat them to yourself every day.
Let go of your ego – Your ego and the insecurities behind it are what cause you to be jealous, envious, fearful, angry and a host of other negative emotions. Don’t allow your ego to control your life and your relationships.
Acknowledge your accomplishments – Celebrate your own achievements, even if your only accomplishment is your effort. Many times just trying something new is worth acknowledgment and praise.
Forgive yourself – Often a feeling of low self-esteem or self-worth stems from hanging on to mistakes you’ve made in the past. Learn to forgive yourself. We are all flawed and have made many mistakes in life. Let go of the baggage and move forward.
Enjoy life – Relax, give yourself a break and have a little fun. You don’t need to always be a workaholic or a Supermom. Take a break for a little ”me” time to pay attention to your health and happiness. Stop worrying about things you can’t control or that don’t matter. Love yourself enough to take care of your body, mind and soul.
