The colors are a bit fishy… They’re kind of a gradient but sometimes not. I don’t see any logic…

MILESTONES Railway fans flocked to Tokyo station to witness the initial runs of the new 300kph E5 Series Hayabusa bullet train . Someone even bid ¥385,000 for a ticket. A young woman received a kidney from her brain-dead mom , the first case of a family member being prioritized since Japan revised its organ transplant law last year. Geeks in Japan: 10 months, 1 week ago · ViewBlizzard’s World of Warcraft gets free-to-play (until level 20). Valve’s Team Fortress 2 gets free-to-play (pay for extra weapons and stuff). That’s an interesting trend from the heavy weights of the industry. It might be a strong blow to the smaller competitors. It might also be a good occasion for me to reinstall a Windows machine.
Actually, reading about Blizzard made me want to revisit Diablo 2. Too bad the CD is back in France. Has anyone around played it? What build did you enjoy the most?

I saw the trailer for Machete, and it seemed to have a… subtle… and… intricate… scenario… mmh.
Iris Online seems interesting, I might try it.. although I didn’t get a very good experience of gPotato games so far, not very polished, too much grinding. In reply to - DoubleLibra posted an update in the group Geeks in Japan : @guilhem Rented a few DVDs this weekend and last. ”The Expendables” and ”Machete” were both great action movies which made me miss those good ol’ days of wanton violence involving anti-heroes taking down the bad guys. I especially loved Machete for it’s comedy. Robert Rodriguez has been one [...] · View -
Sorry, I don’t know of any. Actually, I have never found any table top RPG group outside of my hometown university one back in the days. I knew someone who was doing those in Tokyo, but he left way before I came… There’s a Mixi group for English RPG in Tokyo (英語でTRPGをLet’s Go!) with about 20 members but it seems to have been abandoned for years.
Let me know if you find any though. In reply to - DoubleLibra posted an update: @guilhem Hey Pal. Know of any English-speaking tabletop RPG groups in or around the Tokyo area? Haven’t joined a game since I visited home last December/January, and now that the weather’s getting nicer it’d be fun to join or run a game somewhere. · View -
Corpse Craft is not really a MMORPG, is it? Unless it evolved since last time I played it, it’s only duel-based.
And, for a much simpler no-strings-attached no-brain zombie game, you can try Zombus. There’s a zombie outbreak, and you have a bus. A big, heavy bus. Have fun.
http://jayisgames.com/games/zombus/In reply to - S3! posted an update in the group Geeks in Japan : For those of you who like zombies as much as I do, unfortunately there really aren’t any actual zombie MMORPGs out there to download (at least none that I have found). Yeah kinda sounds like a marketing stunt to get old fans back without paying scenario writers. But I don’t know enough, so wait and see.

I read the comic book first, and I was surprised at how mild the movie was in comparison. Which, I think is a good thing. It’s much more fun, and totally nonsensical. to be honest, I was wary about the movie, expecting such disturbing scenes…
