Nearly 60 years after he first destroyed Tokyo, a miniature version of everyone’s favorite lizard is sending a new generation of fans scrambling—to capture one of the just 3,000 available bottles of Yabukaiou Sake Godzilla (¥10,500). Shigeaki Ito designed this limited edition shochu decanter, in a ceramic casing molded in the image of the rampaging kaiju. Ito says he was going for a “ferocious, but kind appearance.” Standing only 24 centimeters tall, he’s not likely to knock over Tokyo Tower again, but it’s what’s inside that counts: 720ml of 100 percent barley shochu made with water from the Rokko mountains. Just don’t drink it all at once, or you’ll wake up with a monster hangover.
