If the recent rash of new openings is any indication, Japan is in the middle of a serious beer boom. The latest contender is Craftheads, a self-described “extreme beer bar” created by the owners of Sal’s in Saginuma (B1, 1-13-10 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku; www.craftheads.jp). “I don’t see any crap on tap, do you?” proclaims the website—and, with draft offerings including Three Floyds, Bear Republic, Shiga Kogen and Southern Tier, we’re inclined to agree. There’s an equally extensive bottled list featuring brews from Stone Brewing and Southern Tier, plus Green Flash, Allagash, Ballast Point and more
