Read it, my friend? I wrote it. Being that this is a blog where I write about basically whatever I want. One thing I wanted to do was rip on the terrible puns other gaming sites feel the need to put up to grab attention. But it's good that my pun isn't terrible mi amigo. Nay. It is quite fitting. Read on. If it's a clone, by definition it's not the original. If you clone something you attempt to make an identical copy. But as we all know you can never truly recreate the original. You can only make it again in the likeness of the original, and can only truly be identical on the genetic and cellular level. One could considered a clone to be a remake of the original. Being that this is the 5th remake of the game it seemed fitting to ponder if it's just another clone, like the previous versions before it, or is it different this time around? If you read on you can see that it is indeed different. This is the first re-release to feature upgrades in the control mechanics and adds new features unique to the system. Being as this is the most recent Metal Gear title in a successive line of titles this would also be the successor to Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (though not numerically). The game even includes game play mechanics created for MGS:PW. Whether it is worthy of that title is up to the each individual player. I personally feel it is an upgrade. In other news, who cares.

I would click through to JAT’s website. The folks over there are much more experienced translating and subbing than I am.

Thanks for an interesting article. This gives a good perspective of the subtitling background from translators arena. We would be interested in interacting with potential film subtitlers/translators for English to Japanese Projects Media Movers, Inc.

LOL! Nice one.

I agree that the video contains a lot of numbers that are totally irrelevant. That’s why I thought it pretty odd to use it as evidence that ‘social media is bullshit’, as the video does not equal ‘social media’. It would have been more appropriate to title the post ‘This video is bullshit’.

I’m not trolling, I swears it! Just to prove it, I changed the title of the post!

I have just been hearing people talk and talk and talk about this thing called social media, but nobody is able to define it. Huge numbers are thrown around, but none of them are given context.

When it comes to videos that best capture the concept of social media, this one is king. Various iterations/uploads of this same video count millions of combined views which means people are passing it around for some reason, presumably because they find the information interesting. But, there is no information in this video.
