Spanish found-footage horror kind of works

Also called Emergo. In yet another found-footage flick, a trio of parapsychologists sets up shop in an apartment occupied by a widower, his hormonal teenage daughter and his young son. And a ghost. Maybe. It kind of worked for me. Not for its originality (it’s not) or for its craftsmanship (better than average for a tiny budget, but not great). But the Boo! moments got me more often than not, the crowded, claustrophobic atmosphere is good, and some of the actors are way better than usually found in this sort of thing. Maybe I was just happy it wasn’t another Paranormal Activity.
