Mumblecore meander is wildly creative

An adulthood-avoiding, nihilistic slacker (actor/director/writer/camera inventor Evan Glodell) and his fellow man-boy buddy spend their time building flamethrowers and a flame-belching muscle car in preparation for the coming Mad Max post-apocalyptic era. Then a girl breaks his heart and he goes off the rails. This mumblecore meander is a bit of a downer, but it’s also wildly creative, emotionally frightening, and awesomely filmed. You may not love it, but there’s no denying its originality. Glodell is being hailed as a talent to watch. Hard to disagree when you consider he made this for only $17,000.
