Biohazard Damnation

’90s-style CG gore

In truth, I can remember squat about all the Biohazard (aka Resident Evil) movies. But I saw this after an afternoon of drinking beer, a highly recommended viewing method, and, well, I’ve sat through plenty worse (The Expendables leaps to mind). The filmmakers are now using CGI and the acting is markedly improved. But they’re using some graphics program that was new in, say, 1990, and while some of the scenery is spectacular, they can give the human faces only about three real expressions (which still leaves them two ahead of Steven Seagal). Pretty gory.
