Skateboarding entrepreneur and filmmaker Stacey Peralta (Dogtown and Z-Boys), gathers together the aging teens he once fielded as the title ’boarding team in the ’80s ⎯ Tony Hawk, Alan Gelfand, Steve Caballero, Rodney Mullen, Lance Mountain ⎯ for a rad roll down memory lane. As is the case with any niche documentary, this mythologizing will seem to a general audience a tad hyperbolic, self-important and/or repetitive. But to ’boarders there’s a wealth of information to be had about styles, personalities and innovations. Do you know what an “olly” is? How about a “McTwist?”
