A book editor quits his city job and moves his family into a nice big house in suburbia, only to learn that the previous owner of their dream home had murdered his wife and children there. Generic so far, but things liven up when he finds out the murderer’s surprising identity. The first three quarters of this promising psycho-thriller are an engaging study of identity and psychosis. Then it all seriously falls apart in the mind-numbingly lame final act. The bigger mystery here is how Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts and director Jim Sheridan all came to be involved in such a turkey.
