Documentary for the rock cognoscenti about the title band, its personnel changes, its successes, its brief lapses (just one non-fatal OD) and eventual maturation. The band began with the sudden end of Nirvana, when drummer Dave Grohl picked up a guitar and decided to become the front man of a new group. Since he was already famous, the Foos went through all the above growing pains while in the public eye. It’s all about starting, being in and keeping a band together. Harder than it looks. Though it’s very well made and surprisingly candid, this will appeal mainly to those who are already fans of the band.
