Drab kids-versus-commies fiasco

North Korea has invaded and occupied America. Right. (The film, a remake of a 1984 romp starring the Russians, was originally shot with China as the bad guys, until the filmmakers envisioned a billion plus potential Chinese butts in theater seats and reworked the product.) In Spokane, WA, a group of annoying teens wreaks (literally) unbelievable French-resistance-like havoc against the oppressors. Nothing makes a bit of sense in this drab kids-versus-commies fiasco; the acting’s rotten; there’s a lot of patriotic speechifying and video-game violence. Every frame is an insult to one’s intelligence.
