Sci-fi geeks, rejoice: season 2 of the popular time-twisting TV show Primeval is finally coming to Japan. In the first season of this thriller from the UK, Dr. Nick Cutter (Douglas Henshall) and his team discover the first of several “anomalies,” or portals leading back to prehistoric times. As a series of increasingly deadly predators cross over the threshold and terrorize London, Cutter begins to realize the anomalies may be linked to the disappearance of his wife Helen (Juliet Aubrey) eight years previously. In the season 2 opener, Cutter must deal with the fact that his forays through the anomaly have irrevocably altered the present day—including erasing the existence of his season 1 love interest, Claudia Brown (Lucy Brown).
Airs Thursday at 8pm on NHK, channel 1.
