Kids at Yokohama International School lay on the cheese with a staging of the Tony award-nominated Broadway musical based on the 1980s movie starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. A nightclub cult film, Xanadu follows the hapless Californian artist Sonny and lovely muse Clio, who, disguised as Australian leisure skater Kira, shows him how to fulfil his artistic dreams and open a roller disco. Set to tracks by ’80s giants Electric Light Orchestra, Cliff Richard and of course Newton-John herself, this one is sure to have the audience in stitches.
